2008 Presidential Primaries |
I'm leaning toward George Allen in 2008. I like this statesman from Virginia who has a consistent voting record against abortion and for secured borders. He co-authored the Balanced Budget Amendment and dependably calls for reduced federal spending. Once GeorgeAllen.com downsizes its "Bloggers for Allen" web button a tad, I'll place it in the margin.
Rudy Giuliani is too spit-and-polish politicky -- emphasis on icky. People will vote for Rudy for the same reason they didn't vote for Alan Keyes: Rudy has name recognition.
Mitt Romney doesn't have enough history for me to put a lot of confidence in him. Bill Frist lost face during the illegal immigrant debate. And, finally, John McCain is a wuss -- a milquetoast. |
